Hello, a question about your pottery. My Aunt lived in Kentucky for several years. When she passed I rec’d a large pottery punch bowl, several punch cups (maybe 20) and a large tray. They are all a light blue with BB on the bottom. I was wondering about their origin, or their worth. Do you know of any such pieces made by your potters? The B’s don’t look exactly but very near as the ones I see in your photos. If you could help I would appreciate it. Thank you
It sounds like Bybee Pottery made in Kentucky but I think they went out of business and no longer make it. If you click on the link here and the one in this post you should be able to find out a little more. I see it listed on EBAY frequently, too. I have a lot of it but no light blue. They made many colors and the BB is always on the bottom. Sorry I can not be of more help: https://thesouthernlady64.wordpress.com/2008/08/17/bybee-the-oldest-existing-pottery-west-of-the-alleghenies/
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”
